Leslie’s innate compassionate and caring nature in all aspects of her life carries over naturally into her real estate business. “Nothing is more exciting to me than the gratifying feeling I get helping people meet their real estate needs,” she notes. Her former clients tend to agree – “Best Realtor I ever worked with!” “I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again!”-they exclaim.
Leslie also brings her own experience of moving to Murray from another state to her real estate toolbox. She taught school in Florida for 15 years and was a part-time real estate agent in Fort Lauderdale prior to the move to Murray. “I learned to be a good multi-tasker as a teacher and that translates into having multiple clients and handling each of their individual needs in the selling or buying process,” she said. Leslie recognizes the challenges of a long-distance move and can foresee the needs of her out-of-state clients, many times before they do. “It’s a wonderful feeling to know you have made the process of buying or selling go as smoothly as possible for your client. I also love that each day is different with new challenges,” she states.
Since becoming a Murray Realtor in 2013, Leslie has not only been a multi-million dollar producer, but also has given back to both the community of Murray and her fellow Realtors. In the community, she is best known for her volunteer work for the Humane Society and Animal Shelter. Recently, Leslie has partnered with the Shelter in a weekly social media campaign to promote adoption of shelter animals – #findinghomesforpeopleandpets. Her initial post resulted in the adoption of a dog that had been in the shelter for 45 days without finding a home. The sweet dog was adopted the next day after Leslie’s post.
Leslie stepped up early in her career to take leadership in the MCC Board of Realtors. Her efforts were recognized when she received the Hoyt Roberts Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the board within the first three years of membership. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Social Committee: has been a long-standing member of the Community Service Committee, and recently became a member of the newly formed DE&I Committee.
Leslie moved to Murray with her husband, Eric, and daughters, Alex and Taylor, when Eric became the Murray Fire Department Chief in 2011. The ties to Murray were deep on Eric’s side, as he had grandparents from Murray. Leslie’s favorite real estate story stems from those ties: “I had the opportunity to represent the buyer in the purchase of Eric’s grandparents’ former home. His grandparents had lived there many years ago, and Eric, as a youth, had visited them in this home on trips to Kentucky from Florida. They shared many wonderful memories as a family in that home and I hope my buyers have many more.”
